In 1988, Rev. Rey Santillana, together with the pioneer members established the Jesus Christ the Redeemer World Outreach Ministry. From that year forward, JCTR congregations grew and flourished in the ministry and gave birth to several JCTR churches in Bulacan and Quezon City. Over the years, Rev. Rey Santillana was ordained as JCTR World Ministries’ bishop and continuously take an active lead in actualizing God’s mandate for JCTR in particular and in the greater body of Christ in general.
As Rev. Rey Santillana grows in the ministry, the greater body of Christ in Bulacan saw the significant leadership roles and reforms he was performing and initiating within the province of Bulacan, that from 1997 until 2000, he served as the President of the Christian Ministers Council of Bulacan (CMCB). Currently, he is the incumbent national director of the Christian Bishops and Ministers Association of the Philippines (CBMAP).
Apart from his involvement locally and nationally, Rev. Rey Santillana has on various occasions graced international invitations to speak at conferences and church gatherings in the following Asian countries namely; China, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, and South Korea. Recognized as an international preacher, he also had the opportunity of preaching in some parts of America, namely: Las Vegas, San Jose CA, Daly City, Maryland, Texas, Los Angeles, and Seattle.
He presently resides in Bulacan but his roots could be traced back from Nueva Ecija. Raised by a prayerful mother and grew in a Christian family, he spent his formative years in the province where during his younger years, he was already involved in Christian ministry and leadership. Interestingly, during his stay in the university, he was pursuing a course in Criminology but the call of Christian vocation was stronger that he shifted from that discipline to pursuing a Bible course at Febias College of Bible. It was a turning breakthrough for his life for he is now serving mightily in the vineyard of the Lord. As recognition for his laudable efforts and contributions in the body of Christ, Theology University awarded him with a doctorate degree honoris causa.
Blessed with an equally prayerful wife, Zorina, their marriage was honored with a son and daughters all involved in the ministry, his youngest son, Aboy is pastoring now at JCTR Bocaue chapter, and his son in law, Jake who together with his wife, Zeelyn is pastoring in Japan. His other daughter, Rachel, and her family are presently based in the US.
